In a world where dreams are often left destitute, and ideals become of little importance and without value, keen vision may prevail. The ability to see beyond the horizon through rough winds and cloudy skies requires pure ambition and resolute persistence. Though a person’s passion takes time to discover and the illustrations of one’s imagination seldom come to fruition, only select individuals pursue the desired goals that they have burning from within.What started out as a modest idea, ablaze in the heart of Michael Randle, the Miami Entertainment Group (MEG) has grown to be a successful reality. With the help of his close friend and business partner, Donald Hylor Jr., Michael wanted to create a band that would produce similar experiences of their membership with the world renowned Florida A&M University Marching 100 Band. So, in 2003 he approached his fellow college comrade, Donald, about furthering their musicianship by creating a professional entertainment company that featured a plethora of services: This enterprise would be comprised of a variety of ethnicities who share a zeal for all facets of performance, and who enjoy extending their artistic vision to the world. As two professional trombonist, having traveled across the globe and sharing the stage with music legends such as The Wailers; Kool & The Gang; Michael McDonald; and Nas, just to name a few, they have become familiar with different cultures and varied styles of music, while developing their craft to ultimately create an illustrious establishment. Other notable musicians who have made a great contribution to the achievement of the MEG are choreographer, Terrence Lewis; and arrangers/composers, Alejandro Navarro; Delvin Williams; and Francisco Williams. The MEG has become one of the most prominent entertainment companies in the world; providing interest for clients such as The Make A Wish Foundation; Orange Bowl Foundation; ESPN; TNT; Regis & Kelly; Moet Hennessey USA; Metro PCS; Regions Bank, and many more. Moreover, the MEG is also responsible for other concepts such as the Miami Dolphin’s 12 Man Drumline, and the NBA’s Miami HEAT Street Band, which started out with six musicians, but is now comprised of forty-five members. The peak performance occurred in December 2007, as the Miami Heat Street Band was chosen as the only entertainment group to represent the NBA in the Nike Paris, France All-Star game.The Miami Entertainment Group has an array of services that includes dancers, musicians, choreographers, disc jockeys, musicians and other business ventures. Throughout the years, the organization has significantly expanded into a remarkable pursuit and continues to make great accomplishments. With the companies sheer determination and their overwhelming admiration for their faculties, the MEG is sure to have a brilliant future! |
